Senior Design: NAWCAD

As the Integration Lead for my senior design team, I designed the systems connecting a test stand's mechanical setup to a drone's flight stack.
I developed the electrical system and software package to actuate and acquire data from three motors on each axis. The system utilizes Dynamixel MX 106t Servos connected via a U2D2 serial converter and communicates with a custom Matlab GUI.
The Matlab GUI, built using Matlab App Designer, guides the user through test setup, operation, and data analysis. It interfaces with the stand via serial and with the drone via ROS2, ensuring the data accurately represents the drone by compensating for the test stand’s impact.
